CHILDREN’S GARDENING CLUB IN SONOMA
Located on an historic five acre farm just minutes from the downtown Sonoma Plaza, The Children’s Garden Club is a place where kids can experience the joys of organic gardening from planting, growing and composting to harvesting and eating fresh organic fruits and vegetables.
Membership includes a 4’ x 8’ garden with personal name plaque, weekly gardening sessions and seasonal fresh produce and flowers. Members also receive honey from the farm’s hives and olive oil after the fall’s harvest and press. Parents can drop their kids off and enjoy a few hours to themselves, or they can make it a family outing and stay and garden together.
Not only will kids go home with seasonal fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers, they will also have gained a greater understanding of where their food comes from and an ongoing connection to the earth under the tutelage of Louise Hassen, Founder and Chief Gardener.
Annual membership fee is $125 plus $30 for each hour-hour weekend session.
Season runs every weekend from May through October for kids aged 5 and up.
Opening May 30th, 2009 – only 10 members accepted.
Special Offer - Membership fee waived for first 5 members!
